To Rich, with love

How many nice things are left to say when I tweet about you daily? Turns out, so very many.

But for today, I'm keeping it it brief, and giving your friends the floor.
So happy birthday, Richard. I'm glad you're in the world. And gladder still you're in my life. Tonight, I'll mix a Negroni with the Lillet you suggested. I'll spin a vinyl you made me buy. And I'll think of a hundred ways my life is better for knowing you.

I hope you read these messages and know the impact you have. I hope that brings you joy.

Most of all, I  hope you get to sit in the front seat!

I met Richard Speight at Rockwood Music Festival many moons ago. I  learned quickly that he was the Holliday to Benedict’s Earp. Laurel to his Hardy.  The tequila to his soda.  And I knee slapped my way through the festival at their antics.  We bonded with the rest of the crew over steins at a late night pizza place in Offenbach, Germany rumored to be a front for a crime syndicate operated by a witch.  I miss that place. And I miss Dick Speight.

He taught me how to co-write a drinkin’ duet from opposite sides of the world.  That if you’re havin’ a good time, you should probably stay an extra couple of days.  And that the glass is always half full.  Especially when the whiskey’s on the rocks.  To many more steins. And to many more good times :)

Happy Birthday, Dicky!

It was a pleasure to work with Richard on Supernatural and Kung Fu. In addition to being an all-around excellent guy, on set, he made everyone feel comfortable and happy to be a part of the show. His dynamic presence made
it so much fun working, and I can't thank him enough.

Happy birthday, brother. Next time, I'll bring a batch of little Brown Squares (a.k.a. Jerry Squares) LOL. Enjoy your day.

Hi! It's Kim.
I've been asked to say a few nice words about Richard

Speight, Jr. for his birthday. And so already we've reached

a problem. There's a problem, cos you've met me -
I can't say a few nice words about Richard. I can say a

*lot* of nice words about Richard. I can say he's awesome.

And funny. And brilliant. And talented. And wonderful.
And someone I *deeply* love, and trust.

Richard is one of those human beings that makes any

room better to be in. He makes any conversation something

that makes me enlightened, *and* feel valued. Richard

Speight, Jr. has the incredible ability to bring out the best

in people without sacrificing the best of himself. He is

someone I am proud to know, and I'm proud to have

contributed to things he's created. And I am proud of

the parts of *me* that he has helped me uncover.

So, HAPPY FUCKING BIRTHDAY, RICHARD SPEIGHT, JR.!
The world is *so* much better for your existence.

Rich,

happy birthday and happy anniversary to you emailing us back to get the ball rolling on Driven.

It’s hard to stress what a joy you were to work with or how impressive it is that you managed to make even my dicier dialogue sound natural.

I’ve met a lot of rare and unique people because of you and including you. Between that and a project that I’m still proud of I’ll always appreciate you.
And because you always brought freezing weather to Mississippi I’ll never forget you.

I’m assuming you remember all this at your advanced age, but if you need a refresher we’re streaming on Amazon!

Happy Birthday Mr. Trask.

I am so honoured to be invited by this group of wonderful people, who for some reason think you’re special?
To wish the happiest of birthdays to my fellow Virgo. We became fast friends when you first joined the show in season 2 and now all these years later I consider you one of my closest and dearest friends.

I’m bummed that you are shooting in Vancouver and I’m here shooting in Calgary but our paths will cross again soon. Happy Birthday Rich! Miss your musk!!

Happy birthday, Richard!

Wishing you the most wonderful day, dear friend. Hope it’s filled with all your favorite things.

A piece of my heart will always
belong to you, Richard Speight, Jr.

Have an excellent birthday, man

Tim Matthews

Hi!

We have a very special message for a very special person, named Richard Speight, Jr.!

Richard, we love you.

If we were hanging out right now, we would start the day with some boiled peanuts, watch  Forensic Files (couple of episodes), maybe go driving down to Georgia and get some coconut cake. Red Rooster Sauce, can't forget that. And then maybe at the end of the day, we'd jump out of a plane wearing parachute pants! That sounds like a plan. That'd be the best birthday ever.

We miss you. We love you.

Thanks for all your love and support. We woudn't be where we're at today without you.

So thank you so much for being literally the best.

Happy, happy, happiest of birthdays to you, from Hilly and Hannah.

Happy Birthday, Rich!

I never see you anymore when I walk
my dog by your house, but just know
that the pile o' poo by your wall is your
birthday present, and it's sent with love!
(by Archie, my dog - not my poo)

But please don't tell the Machete

Happy Birthday, Dickard! I love sharing
the stage with you and whispering sweet
nothings into your good ear.

Sending you special love on your special day.

See you at your surprise party!

"I knew Rich was a great guy but I didn't know
to what extent until he showed up on the set
of Driven. Despite the absurdly cold
temperatures and night shoots he maintained
a level of optimism and professionalism that's
unmatched, even when he slammed his own
head into the top of the car with a disturbingly
impressive amount of force.

No one headbutts life like Richard Speight, Jr.!

I hope you have the best birthday ever, big guy!"

Okay!

I'll say,
Mr SPEIGHT
who is so GREAT
Thanks for all the tips
on how to be so HIP.
Even though you hate having your photograph taken, you're so photogenic it should be forsaken!

Wishing you a happy happy
birthday and can't wait until we're
back in the same city again!

Birthday Ballad for a King

Never have you met another like Richard Speight (Junior).

He’s talented beyond belief...though his tech skills aren’t that great.

His references on the pod could be described as “old,”

But his jokes are reminiscent of a child not doing what they’re told.

Today we’ll celebrate Richard’s wonderous birth

So tell him why you love him and everything he’s worth.

Director, Angel, Actor...a man of many names.

A world without this King of Con would never be the same.

I’m writing him this poem cause I can’t sing like Robby.

It’s not the best, but he’ll claim to love it because he’s never snobby

If I could make music I’d write a ballad of Speight and all his glory.

Or if I was allowed more words I’d share many a KoC story.

Forgive my nerdy poem I hope it was a special treat

You get my point…blah blah blah…Rich is one of the best you’ll ever meet.

It’s his bday, so let him do whatever brings him joy.

Be that stealing poop dogs, pulling pranks, or some other silly ploy.

Happy happy B-Day Rich, you’re one of our favorite Kings.

Okay cue the band, Rob sing the song, let’s see what this year brings!
